A brand new design, if you’re looking for a stunning table centrepiece, this is it - our Fumed Oak Platter.
We choose the best English quarter-sawn Oak, and turn this gently curving but weighty shape by hand. Each piece then spends 24 hours in our fuming cabinet - where a remarkable reaction takes place, turning the wood a deep, rich dark brown, whilst also highlighting the wonderful medullary rays and character that quarter-sawn Oak is so famed for.
A small rim to the Platter delicately bounds the edges; a rounded foot underneath lifts the surface to appear as though floating. The food-safe finish adds a subtle sheen which really compliments the timber.
It’s our new favourite piece - quiet but substantial, destined for many years of wonderful celebration.
