Spalted Sycamore Wide Bowl
Back in 2020 we were lucky enough to spend some time with the Chatsworth Forestry team, and came away with this wonderful Spalted Sycamore from the estate. Sycamore only stays pale if it’s cut and dried straight away, but this piece clearly lived much more of a life and has all the markings to show it!
Common in spalted wood, the thin black line running around the outside of this bowl creates a two-toned affect, with one side a much richer tone than the reflective, paler opposite side.
A lovely shape for display.
Diameter 17cm
Height 9cm
