Spalted Sycamore Bowl with Foot
Back in 2020 we were lucky enough to spend some time with the Chatsworth Forestry team, and came away with this wonderful Spalted Sycamore from the estate. Sycamore only stays pale if it’s cut and dried straight away, but this piece clearly lived much more of a life and has all the markings to show it!
The black lines, formed entirely naturally, are characteristic of spalting, with the wonderful colour created in the timber split into sections.
A lovely delicate piece which would always be a talking point on display.
Diameter 15cm
Height 10cm
